Tune-up Options
We highly recommend a tune-up to acheive maximum performance from your radio. This service includes the following:
Standard Tune-up
- Setting the power and modulation for the best performance.
- Adjusting the frequency on transmit.
- Adjusting the frequency on receive for increased distance.
- Adjusting the squelch and checking all controls for proper operation.
- Adjusting the meter settings on transmit and receive.
- Modifying the mic amp circuit for best sound quality if necessary.
Elite Tune-up
- Includes all of the standard tune-up PLUS the following:
- Setting of transmitter strip for increased power and distance.
- Modify the receiver strip for increased sensitivity leading to increased distance.
Talk-back Options
- This option adds talk-back or modifies the factory talk-back to help reduce feedback squeals.
Microphone Options
- Allows you to choose a noise cancelling microphone to improve your transmitted sound quality.
Meter Light Color
- Allows you to choose a different color light for your meter.
(red is best for night viewing)
Noise Suppressor
- Adds an internal filter to help reduce alternator whine.
